‘All Along’ is the debut offering from Toronto producer Nightshifts. If you’ve heard his name before it’s probably because he did a gorgeous remix of Bon Iver’s ‘Michicant’ which earned him personal praise from Justin Vernon. ‘All Along’ is the first solo track we’ve heard from Nightshifts, however, and with a few deft production touches the track delivers a swirly electro wash of lo-fi indie. Think Phoenix meets Broken Bells meets the more chilled tracks of Tame Impala. Vocally it’s a strong debut too, with a lovely chorus of the repeating line ‘Darling I’ve been here all along’. We can’t wait to see what Nightshifts has up his sleeve next…-HM
